The design of these seats is amazing; I did not find a car seat cover anywhere that I liked even remotely as much. The high pricetag and the list below explains my rating of a 3.
Things I Love:
1. The fabric is a sturdy and quality fabric.
2. The paws are a unique pattern that I’ve not seen anywhere.
3. Straps work very well and secure the covers in place; I don’t think anything is every moving.
4. The paw print is very sharp and the colors are perfect. It blends with my interior nicely.
Things I question:
1. Not sure how “Custom” these are. The bucket seats in my F150 curve horizontally to warp around my back, but the seat covers form almost a straight line. Not sure if they will stretch over time. It feels less like a seat and more like a hammock.
2. The holes for the headrests were nicely cut, but not aligned very well. Positioning everything else puts the holes off to the side of the actual mount locations.
Things I hated:
1. The buckles for the cushion cover were awesome…. except one side had only about 1 inch of strap, and that was on the side with the power seat controls. Getting it down into the seat where I could reach it was impossible. I ended up fishing the other strap up the side of the seat, attaching it, then pulling it back through. Good thing I had paracord handy.
2. The instructions were either outdated or very generic. Going online was no improvement…. found an awesome array of instructions that stop at 2017. At least the pictures were better than the photocopy in the box.
3. Seams are already showing signs of stress and I worry about longevity.
Things that Ford did that made the seat covers harder to install (no fault of CalTrend):
1. Wiring under the seat. Per the direcitons, “Unclip the flap covering the space…” If you have heated seats, the wiring is installed over that clip and it requires unhooking wiring to complete. I ended up working around it and this is where the short buckle strap (see 1) really was a pain.
2. Ford gives no indication about removing the center headrest, and the manual has one sentence that says some headrests cannot be removed. This created issues not listed here but those are no fault of CalTrend.
Overall, if it wasn’t the dog print, I would probably be grumpier about these covers.

This is the third set we’ve purchased. The first two were for a Chevy Uplander and a Honda CRV in gray. This time the purchase was for a Subaru Outback. The purchase, like the others, was great, and they are so comfortable and the neighbors love them. I’d recommend CalTrend for sure!

This is my second purchase of caltrend seat covers – while I do not have my new truck yet (it’s on order) i have no doubt these seat covers will fit like a charm! I received them via Fed Ex today. They are exactly as represented! The customer service is awesome! After placing order on line they called me to confirm details! Once the order was completed they emailed me to say they had finished making them – then they emailed that they had been shipped. I really appreciate the communication and updates! PS – my first set of seat covers are still on my old truck. They wash up nice and still fit like a glove! I can’t say enough good things about them! Great company!
